Early musical education & highlights
Vivien Walser (2004) began taking piano lessons at the age of five and, starting at age ten, studied in the preparatory program under Prof. Massimiliano Mainolfi. In 2020, she was admitted as a young student to the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts under Prof. Antti Siirala and completed her bachelor’s degree under his guidance in 2026. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree under Prof. Martinez-Mehner at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. As a scholarship recipient of the International Music Academy of Liechtenstein and the German Music Life Foundation (since the age of 13), she has won numerous competitions, including the Steinway Klassik Sponsorship Award as its youngest recipient, first prize at the Valencia International Performance Academy (2023), and multiple first prizes at the national “Jugend Musiziert” competition. In the summer of 2025, she made her debut at the Leipzig Opera with the Gewandhaus Orchestra, performing Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto in a ballet production. In 2024, she performed at the Laeiszhalle with the Hamburg Chamber Symphony (Clara Schumann Piano Concerto) and at the Prinzregententheater in Munich (Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2) as part of the Munich Opera Festival. Even as a teenager, she performed at the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, the Resonanzraum Hamburg, and the Stars and Rising Stars Festival.
